July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Sebring Coupe & Stratus Coupe

  1. If scan tool is not available, go to next step. If using scan tool, turn ignition off. Connect scan tool to 16-pin DLC. See Figure . Go to step  4 .
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect TP sensor harness connector. Connect Test Harness (MB991348) between TP sensor and TP sensor harness connector. See Fig 1 . Ensure all terminals are connected. Go to next step.
  3. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between TP sensor terminals No. 1 (Black wire) and No. 3 (Yellow wire). With throttle closed, voltage should be 535-735 millivolts. Go to step  5 .
  4. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, read TP sensor voltage. With throttle closed, voltage should be 535-735 millivolts. Go to next step.
  5. If voltage is not as specified, adjust by loosening TP sensor mounting bolts and rotating TP sensor body until voltage is as specified. After adjustment, tighten TP sensor mounting bolts. Turn ignition off. Disconnect scan tool or test harness.
