Wipers Run At Low Speed With Switch In High Speed Position

  1. Remove HIGH/LOW wiper relay from power distribution center. See Figure . Substitute with known-good relay. If system operates normally, replace HIGH/LOW wiper relay. If system still operates at low speed in high position, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) White connector C3. Check continuity in Violet wire between HIGH/LOW wiper relay connector terminal "C" and BCM connector C3 terminal No. 12. See Figure . If continuity does not exist, repair open in Violet wire. If continuity exists, go to next step.
  3. Check wiper/washer switch. See WIPER/WASHER SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS. If wiper/washer switch is defective, replace wiper/washer switch. See WIPER SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If wiper/washer switch is okay, check for binding linkage. See WIPERS RUN SLOWLY AT ALL SPEEDS  .
