Alarm Does Not Trip With Trunk Knockout Switch

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform VEHICLE THEFT SECURITY SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.

Turn ignition off. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) connector C4. Disconnect trunk knockout switch connector. Connect a 12-volt test light between battery voltage and BCM C4 connector terminal No. 8, deck lid security switch sense circuit (Violet/White wire). If test light illuminates, repair short to ground in Violet/White wire. If test light does not illuminate, replace BCM.
