Compass Calibration
When CAL indicator is illuminated on compass/mini-trip computer, calibration is necessary before compass will display a direction. To calibrate compass, find a level surface free of buildings, trees, underground cables, train tracks and other vehicles. If CAL is not already displayed on compass/mini-trip computer, press an hold STEP and US/M buttons until CAL indicator starts to flash. Drive vehicle in circles, keeping steering wheel in one steady position, at a speed of 7-10 MPH until CAL indicator turns off. This could take 2-6 complete circles to perform. CAL indicator will come on again briefly, indicating calibration is complete. Check operation of compass. If compass does not operate properly, perform recalibration procedure in another location.
