Driver's Door Central Lock (Arm) Unlock (Disarm) Switch Failure

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC) located under left side of instrument panel. See Figure . Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, record and erase DTCs. Insert key into driver's door lock cylinder and rotate from LOCK to UNLOCK positions several times. If key binds in lock cylinder, replace door lock cylinder. Using scan tool, check for DTCs. If DTC does not reset, no problem is indicated at this time. Perform wiggle test on all related connectors and wiring harnesses. Repair wiring as necessary and retest system. If DTC resets, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Remove driver's door trim panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect driver's door lock cylinder switch connector. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select BODY COMPUTER and then SENSORS and observe DR DOOR DISARM SW voltage. If no voltage is present, replace faulty driver's door lock cylinder switch. If any voltage is present, go to next step.
  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect BCM C4 26-pin connector. BCM is connected to junction block under left side of instrument panel. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and White/Dark Green wire at driver's door lock cylinder switch harness connector. If any voltage is present, repair short to voltage in White/Dark Green wire. If no voltage is present, replace BCM.
