Remote Keyless Entry Problem

NOTE: Body Control Module (BCM) and Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module are integral and not serviceable separately. After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.

Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC) located under left side of instrument panel. See Figure . Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select BODY COMPUTER, MISCELLANEOUS then PROGRAM RKE. Program a known-good Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter. See REMOTE TRANSMITTER under PROGRAMMING. If RKE will not enter program mode, replace Body Control Module (BCM). If system accepts new RKE transmitter, replace the original transmitter. Reprogram all transmitters.
