Front Control Module

The Front Control Module (FCM) in part of the Intelligent Power Module (IPM). IPM is located in left front corner of engine compartment, next to battery. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS  . The FCM receives hard wire and digital input signals. Based on these inputs, FCM and IPM provide direct power feed and relay control to critical systems. These systems are as follow:

• Front and side air bags.
• Headlight power and exterior light relays.
• Electronic Transaxle Control (EATX) module power (4-speed only).
• Front and rear wiper relays and washer motors.
• Brake/Transmission Shift Interlock (BTSI).
• Horn relay.
• Front and rear blower motor relays.
• Accessory relay.
