Power Liftgate

Power liftgate can be opened and closed using Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter, overhead console switches, liftgate outside handle switch or DRBIII(R) scan tool. These inputs are sent to Body Control Module (BCM). BCM then sends open/close signals on the Programmable Communication Interface (PCI) bus to the Power Liftgate Module (PLGM) to open/close power liftgate. Power liftgate must be in full open or full closed position to operate. If an object obstructs closing of power liftgate, pinch sensors are triggered and closing operation of power liftgate will be reversed to open direction.
