Camshaft Position Sensor

On 2.4L, Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor is located on rear of cylinder head. On 2.7L, CMP sensor is mounted in the front of the cylinder head. On all models, individual component testing is not available from manufacturer. If CMP sensor or wiring circuit failure exists, a DTC will be stored in the powertrain control module.
