Crankshaft Position Sensor

On 2.4L, the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor is located on the rear of the engine near the accessory drive belt. On 2.7L, the CKP sensor is located on the rear of the transaxle housing, above the differential housing. The bottom of the sensor is positioned next to the drive plate. On all models, individual component testing is not available from manufacturer. If CKP sensor or wiring circuit failure exists, a DTC will be stored in the powertrain control module. See DTC P0320: NO CRANK REFERENCE SIGNAL AT PCM under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - SEBRING CONVERTIBLE, SEBRING SEDAN & STRATUS SEDAN article.
