10. O2 Sensor Ground Circuit

With the ignition on.

Measure the voltage of the O2 Sensor Ground circuit at the O2 Sensor harness connector.

Is the voltage below 0.1 volt? 

  1. Yes  >> Before continuing, check the PCM harness connector terminals for corrosion, damage, or terminal push out. Repair as necessary. Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module. See ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES article.

  2. No  >> Check the O2 Sensor Ground circuit for damage, short to ground, open, or short to voltage. Inspect the O2 Sensor harness connector and the PCM harness connector. If OK, replace and program the Powertrain Control Module. See ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES article.
