Powertrain Control Module: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: If replacing Powertrain Control Module (PCM), the correct vehicle mileage and Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) must be programmed into the PCM to prevent Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) from being set in the Controller Anti-Lock Brake (CAB) module, Sentry Key Immobilizer Module (SKIM) and Air Bag Control Module (ACM). To program PCM and clear DTCs from CAB, SKIM and ACM modules, proceed to appropriate procedure.
NOTE: If replacing both PCM and SKIM at the same time, first program PCM, then program SKIM. Replace all ignition keys and program them to new SKIM.
