Body Control Module: Removal
- Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
- Remove the lower instrument panel silencer.
- Remove the knee blocker airbag (Refer to AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS
).
- Unclip the 72-way bulkhead connector from the Body Control Module (BCM) mounting assembly.
- Move bulkhead wiring aside.
- Disconnect the five wire connectors from the BCM.
- Remove the four screws holding the BCM to the bulkhead (Figure).
- Remove the BCM from the mounting bracket.
