Rear Driveline Module: Installation

  1. Install driveline module to transmission jack. Secure module to jack.
  2. Using Tool 9099, load halfshafts to differential, one side at a time (Fig 1 ).

  3. Index and install propeller shaft to driveline module flange. Install, but do not tighten, three (3) propeller shaft-to-driveline module bolts.
  4. Raise driveline module into position (Fig 2 ).

  5. Install and torque module-to-cradle bolts to 102 N.m (75 ft. lbs.) (Fig 3 ) (Fig 4 ).

  6. Torque propeller shaft-to-driveline module bolts to 54 N.m (40 ft.lbs.)
  7. Raise exhaust system into position and install hanger/brackets.
  8. Fill differential with 0.7L (0.74 qts.) of Mopar(R) Gear and Axle Lubricant (75W-90). (Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE - DIFFERENTIAL ASSEMBLY FLUID CHANGE  )
  9. Fill overrunning clutch housing with 0.58L (0.61 qts.) of Mopar(R) ATF+4. (Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE - DIFFERENTIAL ASSEMBLY FLUID CHANGE  )
