Disconnect the negative battery cable (2).

Remove the engine cover (1). Grasp both corners of the engine cover, and pull up firmly.

Remove the upper air cleaner housing by removing the inlet tube (2) and the retaining screws (1). (Refer to ENGINE/AIR INTAKE SYSTEM/AIR CLEANER HOUSING - REMOVAL) .

Disconnect the ignition coil harness connector (2).
Disconnect both the spark plug cables from the spark plugs (3).
Remove the ignition coil mounting bolt (1).
Remove the ignition coil from the engine.
