Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

SENSOR-ENGINE COOLANT TEMP

REMOVAL





1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Partially drain cooling system below level of engine coolant temperature sensor (2).
3. Remove upper torque strut.
4. Disconnect engine coolant temperature sensor electrical connector.
5. Remove engine coolant temperature sensor (2).

INSTALLATION





1. Install engine coolant temperature sensor (2). Torque sensor to 19 Nm (168 inch lbs.).
2. Reconnect engine coolant temperature sensor electrical connector.
3. Install upper torque strut.
4. Fill cooling system.
5. Connect negative battery cable.
