Clock Spring: Installation

If reinstalling a clock spring. Make sure the clock spring is centered, (Refer to ELECTRICAL/RESTRAINTS/CLOCKSPRING - STANDARD PROCEDURE) .

Align the top locking tab with the slot on the lock housing. Gently push into place.
Install the multi-function switch.
Carefully route the wires over the steering wheel armature and install the steering wheel. (Refer to STEERING/COLUMN/STEERING WHEEL - INSTALLATION) .

WARNING: DO NOT CONNECT THE BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE. REFER TO DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING - AIRBAG SYSTEM FIRST. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN OCCUPANT PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH.
