Theory Of Operation

The AutoStick® Switch is located at the end of the Shift Lever. The gear change is requested by pressing the AutoStick Enable button, then either selecting the Upshift or Downshift on the rocker switch. The ESM then transmits the previous information over the CAN C bus to the TCM to engage the requested gear.
