Fan, Cooling: Installation: 3.0L

Install the fan blade (4) to the fan motor. Tighten the nut (3) to 6 N.m (50 in. lbs.).
Position the fan motor assembly to the shroud (6).
Install the bolts (2) that secure the fan motor to the shroud. Tighten to 6 N.m (50 in. lbs.).
Route the fan motor wiring harness (5) through the fan shroud (6).

While tilting the radiator lower support forward, feed the cooling fan assembly up into position.

Guide the fan (1) into the lower radiator mounts (2).

Install the cooling fan mounting bolts (2). Tighten to 6 N.m (50 in. lbs.)
Attach the charge air hose and tighten the clamp.

Tighten the radiator lower support bolts (1) to 40 N.m (30 Ft. lbs.).
Install the lower engine covers.
Connect the cooling fan electrical connector.
Connect the negative battery cable.
Operate engine until it reaches normal operating temperature. Verify normal cooling fan operation.
