Radiator, Engine Cooling: Installation: 5.7L/6.4L
NOTE:
Assistance may be required for radiator placement into vehicle till the lower radiator core support has been installed.
- Position the radiator onto engine compartment.
- Position the lower radiator core support in vehicle.
- Loosely install the lower radiator core support (2) Bolts (1).
- Seat the radiator assembly lower rubber isolators into the mounting holes in radiator lower support.
- Install the radiator fan. Refer to FAN, COOLING, INSTALLATION .
1 - LOWER RADIATOR HOSE 2 - RADIATOR FAN ASSEMBLY - Install the lower radiator hose (1) and clamp.
- Install the lower engine cover.
- Lower vehicle.
- Install the upper shroud cover by applying pressure downwards till the snap into place.
- Install the radiator mounting bracket (1) and bolts (2). Tighten to 12 N.m (106 in. lbs.).
- Position the condenser on radiator and loosely install the support bolt (3).
- Install the condensors upper and lower mounting bolts. Tighten bolts to 10 N.m (88 in. lbs.).
- Tighten the support bolt (3) to 10 N.m (88 in. lbs.).
- Install the air deflectors (1).
- Position the hood latch release cable (2) through the notch in deflector.
- Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, INSTALLATION .
- Install the upper radiator upper hose (2). Align hose so it does not interfere with the accessory drive belt or engine.
- Connect the negative cable.
- Install the air intake assembly. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION or BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION, 5.7L or BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION .
- Fill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Operate the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature. Check the cooling system and automatic transmission for the correct fluid levels.
