October 30: LEMON manuals on a temporary server, it is slow and having issues, download the manuals you need! Later in November we will switch back to the fast server.
Cold DRIVEABILITY Test 4 - Charge Temperature Sensor CIRCUITCHECK
- Disconnect both connectors from the computer. Connect an ohmmeter between 10-way connector cavity "9" and 12-way connector cavity "10". Ohmmeter reading should be as follows:
CHARGE TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT RESISTANCE
| Temperature °F (°C) |
Resistance |
| -40 to 20 (-40 to -7) |
382,000-22,000 |
| 50-100 (10-38) |
36,000-3300 |
| 140-245 (60-118) |
3900-176 |
- If resistance checks okay, proceed to COLD DRIVEABILITY TEST 5
. If resistance is not within specifications, disconnect charge temperature sensor connector. Connect an ohmmeter between charge temperature sensor terminals. Resistance should be as shown in CHARGE TEMPERATURE SENSOR RESISTANCE
chart.

- If resistance is okay, repair wiring between computer and sensor for a short or open circuit. If resistance is not within specifications, replace charge temperature sensor.
