Power Door Lock Test 10A - Left Door Unlock Switch Failure

NOTE: Perform POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 1B  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Clear trouble codes as needed. See DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . Using scan tool, read driver's door zone switch voltage. If LF DOOR ZONE SWITCH voltage is about one volt, replace driver's door lock switch. If LF DOOR ZONE SWITCH voltage is not about one volt, go to next step.
  2. Operate driver's door lock switch to unlock position and observe voltage on scan tool. Do not hold switch in unlock position for more than 7 seconds or code will set. If LF DOOR ZONE SWITCH voltage is about one volt, go to next step. If LF DOOR ZONE SWITCH voltage is not about one volt, replace driver's door lock switch.
  3. Operate driver's door lock switch several times from lock to unlock position. Release switch. With switch in neutral position, observe scan tool voltage. If LF DOOR ZONE SWITCH voltage is about 5 volts, system is currently functioning correctly. If LF DOOR ZONE SWITCH voltage is not about 5 volts, replace driver's door lock switch.
