Power Door Lock Test 23A - Front Doors Fail To Lock
NOTE:
Perform POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 1A
before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
and WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Perform TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE
after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
Turn ignition off. Disconnect junction block connectors "A" and "B". See Figure in CHIME TEST 2A. Using external ohmmeter, measure resistance between chassis ground and connector "B", terminal No. 23 (Brown/White wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair Brown/White wire for short to ground. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair right front lock relay output circuit (Brown/White wire) between terminal No. 23 on connector "B" and right front lock motor for short to ground.
