Windshield Wiper Test 9B - Rear Wiper Not Operating

NOTE: Perform WINDSHIELD WIPER TEST 9A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Remove fuse No. 8 from junction block. See Figure in EXTERIOR LIGHTS TEST 4A. Replace as needed. Go to next step. If fuse is okay, go to step 3).
  2. Disconnect Heater, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) control module 21-pin Blue connector (integral with instrument panel unit). Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, measure voltage on HVAC connector, terminal No. 10 (Black/Orange wire). If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace HVAC module. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open Black/Orange wire.
  3. Disconnect Heater, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) control module 21-pin Blue connector (integral with instrument panel unit). Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, measure resistance on HVAC connector, terminal No. 10 (Black/Orange wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair Black/Orange wire for short to ground. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, replace HVAC module.
