Windshield Wiper Test 9C - Rear Wiper Not Operating

NOTE: Perform WINDSHIELD WIPER TEST 9A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) connector "A". BCM is located with junction block under driver's side instrument panel. See Figure in CHIME TEST 2A. Ensure rear wiper switch is in ON position.
  2. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, measure voltage at terminal No. 38 (Yellow/White wire) on connector "A". If voltage is more than 4 volts, replace BCM. If voltage is 4 volts or less, go to next step.
  3. Connect jumper wire between ground and terminal No. 38 (Yellow/White wire) on connector "A". Disconnect Heater, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) control module 21-pin Blue connector (integral with instrument panel unit). Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, measure resistance at terminal No. 2 (Yellow/White wire) on HVAC connector. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open Yellow/White wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace HVAC module.
