Vacuum Modulator: Checking: Notes
- Ensure that throttle cable adjustment is correct. Throttle must be fully open when accelerator pedal is fully depressed. Transaxle fluid level should be correct.
- Raise and support vehicle properly for testing. Connect oil pressure gauge to transaxle at pressure port. See Figure. Start engine and move gear selector to the "2" position.
- Push accelerator pedal all the way down while applying brakes to stabilize vehicle speed at 50 MPH. Pressure should be 67-70 psi (4.7-4.9 kg/cm2 ). If reading is not within specifications, adjustment is necessary.
