If pressure gauge reading is more than specified, check wastegate actuator. See WASTEGATE ACTUATOR TEST . Replace wastegate actuator as required. If pressure gauge reading is less than specified, check for malfunctioning wastegate valve, turbocharger pressure leaks and faulty turbocharger.

When testing wastegate actuator, DO NOT
apply a pressure more than 12 psi (.9 kg/cm2
) to wastegate actuator, or actuator damage may occur. Never attempt to adjust wastegate actuator.
