Test 46A - Diagnosing Illuminated Entry System

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR  IDENTIFICATION. For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
  1. Turn courtesy lamps on by opening left door. If courtesy lamps do not illuminate, go to TEST 47A. If courtesy lamps illuminate, go to next step.
  2. Lower left front window. Close all doors. Lock left door manually. Turn ignition off and wait one minute. Activate illuminated entry system by lifting left door handle. If courtesy lamps do not illuminate, go to TEST 46B. If courtesy lamps illuminate, go to next step.
  3. Lower right front window. Close all doors. Lock right door manually. Turn ignition switch to OFF position and wait one minute. Activate illuminated entry system by lifting right door handle. If courtesy lamps do not illuminate, go to TEST 46C. If courtesy lamps illuminate, system is operating okay at this time.
