Speed Control Main Switch Circuit Malfunction

  1. Check operation of speed control main switch. See SPEED CONTROL SWITCHES  under TESTING. Replace switch as necessary. If main switch operates properly, turn ignition off. Disconnect 8-pin main switch harness connector. Turn ignition on. Using a voltmeter, check voltage between ground and main switch harness connector terminal No. 1 (Black/White wire). Battery voltage should exist.
  2. If battery voltage exists, go to step 3). If battery voltage does not exist, check Black/White wire, connectors and harness between main switch and power supply. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair or replace as necessary.
  3. Check wires, connectors and harness between speed control main switch and ground and between speed control main switch and speed control ECM. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair or replace as necessary.
