Diagnostic Test
- VERIFY DTC IS ACTIVE
- VERIFY IF THIS DTC SET IN OTHER MODULES
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read active DTCs.
Are any other modules on the CAN BUS reporting this DTC?
Yes
- Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL [EAF], REMOVAL or MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL [EAB], REMOVAL or MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL [EAJ], REMOVAL .
- Perform the PCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Replace and program the module that set this DTC in accordance with the Service Information. Perform its respective verification test.
- CHECK THE WIRING AND CONNECTORS
- The conditions necessary to set the DTC are not present at this time.
- With the scan tool, check the Environmental Data to help identify the conditions in which the DTC was set.
- Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension.
- Wiggle the wiring and connectors while checking for shorted and open circuits.
Were there any problems found?
Yes
- Repair as necessary.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Test complete.
