Aw60T Automatic Transaxle (Service Information): Installation: Installation

NOTE:

It is necessary to perform the re-learn procedure anytime the transmission is being replaced.

NOTE:

Verify that the dowel pins are present in the engine before installing the transmission.

Using a suitable transmission jack, lift the transmission into position.

Install the lower transmission mounting bolts (1) and tighten to 60 N.m (44 ft.lbs.).
Install the lower transmission mounting bolts (2) and tighten to 40 N.m (30 ft.lbs.).

Install the upper transmission mounting bolts and tighten to 60 N.m (44 ft.lbs.).

Install new torque convertor bolts and tighten in the following order:
- Step 1 - Snug tighten the torque convertor bolts to 20 N.m (15 ft. lbs.).
- Step 2 - Tighten the torque convertor bolts to 50 N.m (37 ft. lbs.).

Install the torque convertor access panel.
Install the engine and transmission as an assembly to the vehicle
Fill the transmission with fluid to the correct level. Refer to CAPACITIES AND RECOMMENDED FLUIDS, SPECIFICATIONS and FLUID, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
