Diagnostic Test
CHECK IF THE DTC RESETS
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, erase EVCU DTCs.
- Turn the ignition off. Remove the key from the Ignition Switch, close doors and allow the EVCU to shut down.NOTE:
Allow up to two minutes for the EVCU to shut down. Opening the vehicle door will interrupt the shut down process.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read EVCU DTCs.
Does this DTC reset?
Yes
- A software handshake between the EVCU and PIM is used to make sure the PIM is in same operational mode as what was commanded by EVCU. This DTC is an informational code that sets if the fuse in the PIM is open and the PIM sends a torque control message when not commanded. If the fuse is open make sure to check for a short to ground or excessive amperage draw on the power circuit. If the fuse is not open, replace the PIM in accordance to the Service Information.
- Perform the EVCU VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .

- Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
