Diagnostic Test
- CHECK THE CONNECTION STATE OF THE (INTERNAL) LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT OPENING SWITCH
- Go to key-off condition.
- Disconnect the negative battery lead.
- Disconnect the connector for the (Internal) Luggage Compartment Opening Switch.
- Check state of connector and that the terminals are not damaged, deformed, corroded or disconnected.
Is the connector intact?
Yes
- Go To 2.
No
- Repair or replace the connector, then move on to Step 5.
- CHECK THAT THE (INTERNAL) LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT OPENING SWITCH IS WORKING
- CHECK THE CONDITION OF THE BODY COMPUTER MODULE CONNECTION
- CHECK FOR THE PRESENCE OF SHORT CIRCUIT TO GROUND ON (INTERNAL) LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT OPENING SWITCH
- Check that the (Internal) Luggage Compartment Opening Switch and Body Computer Module connectors are connected.
- Check continuity between PIN A of the (Internal) Luggage Compartment Opening Switch and body.
Is short-circuit present?
Yes
- Repair or replace the damaged part or the wiring then proceed to 5.
No
- Go To 5.
- CHECK THAT THE BODY COMPUTER MODULE IS WORKING PROPERLY
- Restore the electrical connections.
- Connect the negative battery lead.
- Connect the Scan Tool and carry out the Body Computer Module DTC deletion procedure.
- Check whether the DTC is still present.
Is the DTC still present?
Yes
- Repeat the checks from Step 1.
- Replace the Body Computer Module if the DTC occurs again.
No
- End of diagnosis.
