Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the side cowl trim panel. Refer to PANEL, COWL TRIM, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

3. Disconnect the Passive Entry Module (PEM) wiring harness connector.
4. Pull out the PEM (2a) disengaging it from the retainers (2b) on the mounting bracket (2c).

INSTALLATION 

1. Install the PEM to the mounting bracket and engage its retainers.
2. Connect the wiring harness connector to the PEM.
3. Install the side cowl trim panel. Refer to PANEL, COWL TRIM, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
