Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

  1. Remove the front door sill plate. Refer to PLATE, SCUFF, DOOR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  2. Remove the transmission shift lever handle. For automatic Refer to SHIFTER, TRANSMISSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION , For manual Refer to KNOB, GEARSHIFT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the steering column opening cover. (Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ).
  4. Remove the HVAC duct. Refer to DUCT, INSTRUMENT PANEL, CENTER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Remove the Body Control Module access cover. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL (BCM), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  6. Disconnect the wire harness connectors (1) from the Lighting System Module (LSM).
  7. Remove the LSM (2a) disengaging it from the retaining clips (2b).

INSTALLATION 

  1. Position the LSM in its housing and engage the retainers.
  2. Connect the wire harness connectors to the LSM.
  3. Install the BCM access cover. Remove the BCM access cover. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL (BCM), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Install the HVAC duct. Refer to DUCT, INSTRUMENT PANEL, CENTER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Install the steering column opening cover. (Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ).
  6. Install the transmission shift lever handle. For automatic Refer to SHIFTER, TRANSMISSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION , For manual Refer to KNOB, GEARSHIFT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  7. Remove the front door sill plate. Refer to PLATE, SCUFF, DOOR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
