Removal And Installation
NOTE:
Prior to performing any servicing involving the air bag system, please review all of cautions and warnings.
Refer to WARNING .
REMOVAL
- To perform the battery disconnect, follow these steps:
- Put the ignition in the KEY-OFF position.
- Disconnect and insulate the battery terminals.
- Wait at least one minute before proceeding.
- Remove the multi-function switch. Refer to SWITCH, MULTIFUNCTION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) and cluster trim. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
.
- Using a drift and a hammer, remove the headless screws (1).NOTE:
Work carefully to avoid excessive vibration.
- Remove the bracket (2).
- 1. Disconnect the electrical connections (1a) from the Radio Frequency Hub module (RF-Hub) (1b).
- Position aside the RF-Hub (1a), release the retaining clip (1b) and remove the wiring (1c).
INSTALLATION
- Position the RF-Hub module to its housing.
- Connect the electrical connections for the RF-Hub module.
- Secure the wiring retaining clip to the RF-Hub module.
- Install the IPC. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the multi-function switch. Refer to SWITCH, MULTIFUNCTION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- Perform the Key and RFH programming procedures as needed. Refer to MODULE, RADIO FREQUENCY (RF HUB), MODULE PROGRAMMING .
