Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK CORRECT PAIRING BETWEEN VEHICLE AND ELECTRONIC KEY 
    1. Ensure that electronic key and vehicle are correctly paired.

      Is the pairing between electronic key and vehicle correct?

      Yes 

      • Go to Step  2.

      No 

      • Record the correct electronic key and then go to Step  4.
  2. CARRY OUT THE RESTORE PROCEDURE FOR PASSIVE ENTRY NODE CONFIGURATION 
    1. Connect the scan tool to the Passive Entry Node and check whether the vehicle configuration resetting procedure has been carried out.
    2. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    3. Check if the DTC is still present.

      Is the DTC still present?

      Yes 

      • Carry out the vehicle configuration restoration procedure again.
      • Go to Step  3.

      No 

      • Go to Step  4.
  3. CHECK FOR PERSISTENCE OF ERROR IN THE ELECTRONIC KEY 
    1. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    2. Check if the DTC is still present.

      Is the DTC present on one of the programmed keys?

      Yes 

      • Replace the faulty electronic key, then move on to Step  4.

      No 

      • Go to Step  4.
  4. CHECK THE CORRECT OPERATION OF THE PASSIVE ENTRY NODE 
    1. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    2. Check if the DTC is still present.

      Is the DTC still present?

      Yes 

      • Repeat the checks from Step  1 .
      • Replace the Passive Entry Node if the DTC occurs again.

      No 

      • End of diagnosis.
