Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK CORRECT INSTALLATION OF FRONT IMPACT SENSOR, DRIVER SIDE (EARLY CRASH) 
    1. Go to Key-OFF status.
    2. at least 1 minute.
    3. Ensure that the front impact sensor, driver side (Early Crash) is correctly installed.

      Is the front impact sensor, driver side (Early Crash) correctly installed?

      Yes 

      • Go to Step  2.

      No 

      • Correctly install the front impact sensor, driver side (Early Crash), then go to Step  4.
  2. CHECK CONNECTION STATUS OF FRONT IMPACT SENSOR, DRIVER SIDE (EARLY CRASH) 
    1. Disconnect the connector of front impact sensor, driver side (Early Crash).
    2. Check status of the connector of front impact sensor, driver side (Early Crash) and ensure that the terminals are not damaged, deformed, corroded or disconnected.

      Is the connector of front impact sensor, driver side (Early Crash) intact?

      Yes 

      • Go to Step  3.

      No 

      • Replace or repair the connector, then move on to Step  4.
  3. CHECK ERROR PERSISTENCE OF FRONT IMPACT SENSOR, DRIVER SIDE (EARLY CRASH) 
    1. Connect the negative battery lead.
    2. Go to key-on condition (engine off or on).
    3. Perform the Airbag Module error deletion procedure.
    4. Check if the error is still present.

      Is the error still present?

      Yes 

      • Replace the front impact sensor, driver side (Early Crash), then go to Step  4.

      No 

      • End of diagnosis.
  4. CHECK CORRECT FUNCTIONING OF THE AIR-BAG MODULE 
    1. Go to Key-OFF status.
    2. at least 1 minute.
    3. Connect the Airbag Module connectors.
    4. Reconnect all the connectors.
    5. Connect the negative battery lead.
    6. Go to key-on condition (engine off or on).
    7. Perform the Airbag Module error deletion procedure.
    8. Check if the error is still present.

      Is the error still present?

      Yes 

      No 

      • End of diagnosis.
