Diagnostic Test
- PERFORM THE RESTORE PROCEDURE FOR AIRBAG MODULE CONFIGURATION
- Connect the diagnosis equipment to the Airbag Module and check whether the vehicle configuration resetting procedure has been carried out.
- Perform the Instrument Panel Module error deletion procedure.
- Check if the error is still present.
Is the error still present?
Yes
- Go to Step 2.
No
- End of diagnosis.
- CHECK INTEGRITY OF SEAT
- CHECK INTEGRITY OF SEAT HEATING PAD
- CHECK INTEGRITY OF PASSENGER SEAT AND UNDERLYING FLOOR AREA
- Go to Key-OFF status.
- at least 1 minute.
- Ensure correct movement of passenger side seat and condition of underlying floor.
Are there any faults?
Yes
- Replace the seat heating pad.
- After replacement, perform the occupant classification system sensor calibration and check for the error. If the error persists, go to Step 5.
No
- Go to Step 5.
- CHECK CORRECT OPERATION OF OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM SENSOR
- Replace the occupant classification system sensor.
- Connect the negative battery lead.
- Go to key-on condition (engine off or on).
- After replacement, perform the occupant classification system sensor calibration.
- Perform the Airbag Module error deletion procedure.
- Check if the error is still present.
Is the error still present?
Yes
- Replace the Occupant Classification System control unit.
- Replace the Airbag Module if the error occurs again. Refer to MODULE, OCCUPANT RESTRAINT (ORC), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
No
- End of diagnosis.
