Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK CONNECTION STATUS OF THE AIRBAG MODULE 
    1. Go to Key-OFF status.
    2. at least 1 minute.

      Are all Airbag Module connectors correctly connected?

      Yes 

      • Go to Step  2.

      No 

      • Correctly reconnect the connector/s, then go to Step  3.
  2. ENSURE THAT THE SAFETY CONTACTS OF AIRBAG MODULE CONNECTORS ARE CORRECTLY CONNECTED 
    1. Disconnect the clock spring connector.
    2. Disconnect the connector of the passenger side seat.
    3. Disconnect the connectors of the seat, passenger side and driver side.
    4. Disconnect the connectors of the pretensioners, passenger side and driver side.
    5. Check the contact status of Airbag Module connectors and ensure that the terminals are not damaged, deformed, corroded or disconnected.

      Are the Air-Bag Module connector contacts intact?

      Yes 

      • Go to Step  3.

      No 

      • Replace the Air-Bag Module wiring.
  3. CHECK CORRECT FUNCTIONING OF THE AIR-BAG MODULE 
    1. connect the Airbag Module connectors.
    2. Reconnect all disconnected connectors.
    3. Connect the negative battery lead.
    4. Go to key-on condition (engine off or on).
    5. Perform the Airbag Module error deletion procedure.
    6. Check if the error is still present.

      Is the error still present?

      Yes 

      No 

      • End of diagnosis.
