Diagnostic Test
- CHECK CONNECTION STATUS OF THE AIRBAG MODULE
- ENSURE THAT THE SAFETY CONTACTS OF AIRBAG MODULE CONNECTORS ARE CORRECTLY CONNECTED
- Disconnect the clock spring connector.
- Disconnect the connector of the passenger side seat.
- Disconnect the connectors of the seat, passenger side and driver side.
- Disconnect the connectors of the pretensioners, passenger side and driver side.
- Check the contact status of Airbag Module connectors and ensure that the terminals are not damaged, deformed, corroded or disconnected.
Are the Air-Bag Module connector contacts intact?
Yes
- Go to Step 3.
No
- Replace the Air-Bag Module wiring.
- CHECK CORRECT FUNCTIONING OF THE AIR-BAG MODULE
- connect the Airbag Module connectors.
- Reconnect all disconnected connectors.
- Connect the negative battery lead.
- Go to key-on condition (engine off or on).
- Perform the Airbag Module error deletion procedure.
- Check if the error is still present.
Is the error still present?
Yes
- Repeat the checks from Step 1 .
- Replace the Airbag Module if the error occurs again. Refer to MODULE, OCCUPANT RESTRAINT (ORC), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
No
- End of diagnosis.
