Module, Body Control (BCM): Removal
- Disconnect, and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Remove the drivers side close out panel (1).
- Remove the driver knee blocker (2). Refer to REMOVAL
.
- Remove the two fasteners, and remove the fuse box cover.
- Disconnect the four electrical connectors (1) on the front side of the Body Control Module (BCM) (2).
- Remove the three fasteners (1) that secure the BCM (2) to the mounting bracket (3); two on the top, and one on the bottom.
- Lift the BCM up far enough to clear the lower mounting point on the bracket.NOTE:
It will be necessary to position the bracket downward when removing the BCM.
CAUTION:Do not distort the BCM bracket in excess, when repositioning.
- Pull the BCM forward and down to remove from the bracket.
- Disconnect the two electrical connectors from the back, and remove the BCM from the vehicle.
