Diagnostic Test
VERIFY THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) IS ACTIVE
NOTE:
Make sure the battery is fully charged before proceeding.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.
Does the scan tool display: U0103-LOST COMMUNICATION WITH ELECTRIC GEAR SHIFT MODULE?
Yes
- Refer to DTC TROUBLESHOOTING and perform the U1722-87-LOST COMMUNICATION WITH ESM diagnostic procedure.
No
- Refer to and perform the STORED LOST COMMUNICATION DTCS diagnostic procedure.
