Module, Body Control (BCM): Removal
- Disconnect, and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Grasp the fuse access cover (1) from the bottom and pull outward to remove.
- Remove the two fasteners (1) from the fuse access area.
- Release the diagnostic terminal (3) from the steering column closeout panel (2).
- Using a Trim Stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, disengage the retaining clips.
- Remove the steering column closeout (2) from the vehicle.
- Remove the fasteners to remove the fuse box cover.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors on the front side of the Body Control Module (BCM).
- Remove the three screws (1) that secure the BCM (1) to the mounting bracket.
- Slightly rotate the BCM (2) to gain access to remove the electrical connectors (1) on the back.
