2.0L CEC System: Description

The Idle Speed Control-Electronic (ISC-E) system is used to control idle speed only. It uses a DC motor throttle actuator which is computer controlled. The system does not control any other engine function.

Computer input information is received from the ignition coil (RPM signal) and system activation is controlled by a temperature switch in the engine coolant system.

The computer has self-diagnostic capabilities and outputs coded diagnostic information.
