2.0L CEC System: Operation
When the engine is 128°F (53°C), the coolant switch activates the computer. The computer receives an RPM signal from the coil and activates the Idle Speed Control (ISC) motor. As idle speed reaches the programed RPM, the computer shuts off the ISC until the idle speed is again out of range. An Idle Tracking Switch (ITS) is integrated in the ISC motor to signal the computer that the throttle has been returned to idle position.
