October 30: LEMON manuals on a temporary server, it is slow and having issues, download the manuals you need! Later in November we will switch back to the fast server.
Throttle Position (TP) Sensor/Switch
- Unplug TP sensor connector. Connect ohmmeter between terminals "A" and "B" (upper terminals) on TP sensor. Move throttle lever to full open position. Resistance should be approximately 5 ohms.
- Move throttle lever to full closed position. Resistance should be less than one ohm. If resistance is not as specified, go to next step. If resistance is as specified, no adjustment is required.
- Loosen TP sensor screws. With throttle lever in closed position, rotate TP sensor until resistance is less than one ohm. Tighten screws. Move throttle lever to full open position. Resistance should be approximately 5 ohms. Replace throttle body if TP sensor cannot be adjusted to specification.
