X45 - DTC 1480: Check For B(+) to CCRM (FC/LFC Relay)



Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 1480 indicates that when the Fan (low speed for two speed fan applications) was commanded on, the Fan Monitor (FANM) circuit did not go high.

Possible Causes:
- B(+) circuit open to CCRM (FC/LFC relay).
- Power-to-(Low Speed) Fan circuit open between CCRM and FANM splice to circuit.
- Damaged CCRM.
- Damaged PCM.

- Key Off.

- Disconnect CCRM.

- Connect negative (-) test lead of DVOM to the battery negative post.

- Check for voltage on Pins 3 and 4 (B+) of the CCRM vehicle harness connector.

- Are both voltages greater than 10.5 volts?

YES -- GO to X46. X46 - Check Power-to-(Low Speed) Fan Circuit Continuity

NO -- SERVICE open in B(+) circuit. RECONNECT circuit. Rerun quick test. Diagnostic Subroutines (DSR) - Extracting Codes
