Temperature Control Cable

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Ford Pickup, 1995 Ford F-Super Duty, 1995 Ford Cab & Chassis, and 1995 Ford Bronco. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disengage glove box door by squeezing side with stop and removing pin holding check strap. Allow door to hang freely. Working through glove box opening, remove cable jacket from metal attaching clip on top of plenum. Cable end should remain attached to door cam and/or crank arm.
  2. Hold temperature control cable firmly and set temperature control knob to "C" position. With cable end attached to temperature door cam, gently push on cable jacket to seat blend door (push until resistance is felt).
  3. Install cable into clip by pushing cable jacket into clip from top until it snaps into place. Check system for proper operation.
