Test A: No Communication With Central Timer Module

  1. Remove Central Junction Box fuses No. 50 (7.5-amp) and 59 (7.5-amp). Measure voltage between ground and CJB fuses No. 50 and 59 power supply side. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair power supply to CJB. See POWER DISTRIBUTION article in WIRING DIAGRAMS.
  2. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Install CJB fuses No. 50 and No. 59. Disconnect Central Timer Module (CTM) 32-pin harness connector C1000. CTM is located in Central Junction Box (CJB). Measure voltage between ground and CTM harness connector C1000 terminals No. 1 (Green/Yellow wire) and No. 14 (Yellow wire). If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open in appropriate wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  3. Measure resistance between ground and CTM harness connector C1000 terminal No. 17 (Black/Yellow wire). If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Black/Yellow wire between ground and CJB. Ground point is located under trim panel in right hand "A" pillar. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair module communication concern. See MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK - FOCUS article.
