Intake Manifold: Installation

Inspect and install new intake manifold gaskets, if necessary.

Install the EGR tube.

Install the PCV hose.

Connect the KS wiring harness.

NOTE: Engine removed for clarity.

NOTE: Be sure to install the bolts in the previously marked locations.

NOTE: To ease installation of the intake manifold lower center mounting bolt, use a 6-inch long, 5/16-inch diameter hose.

Install the intake manifold and the seven mounting bolts.
Install the two oil level indicator tube bolts.

Reconnect the brake booster tube.

Tighten the fuel injection supply manifold retainers.

Install the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose.

Connect the outward intake manifold runner control (IMRC) actuator electrical connector.

Connect the wiring harness and connectors.

Connect the TMAP sensor electrical connector.

Connect the evaporative emissions hoses.

Install the accelerator cable bracket.
1. Install the accelerator cable bracket.
2. Install the accelerator cable and speed control cable (if equipped).

Connect the IAC wiring harness and connector.

Install the air cleaner outlet tube.

Install the accelerator control snow shield.

Install the cooling fan motor and shroud. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
Install the lower intake bolt.
